Language support group for Kabardian
The Wikimedia Foundation has brought together a new team of developers who are dedicated to language support. This team is to support all the languages and consequently it is not realistic to expect that the team members can provide proper support for your language. It is for this reason that we are looking for volunteers who will make up a language support team.
This language support team will be asked to provide us with information about their language. Such information may need to be provided either to us or on a website that we will indicate to you. Another activity will be to test software that will likely have an effect on the running of the MediaWiki software. We are looking for people who clearly identify their ability. Formal knowledge is definitely appreciated.
As much of the activity will be concentrated on translatewiki.net, it will be a plus when team members know how to localise at translatewiki.net.

Support the Babel extension for your language

One year Kabardian Wikipedia
Hello Kabardian Wikipedians,
congratulations, today it is now 1 year since the kdb.wikipedia.org subdomain was created.
From the Wikimedia Incubator & Language Committee, we would like to get some feedback from newer wikis about their situation.
We prepared some questions about what we would like to know. Feel free to answer as many of them as you like.
- How has activity developed after the subdomain's creation? (in comparision with the situation on Incubator)
- Is it now easier to be found by new users? How was the reception of the new wiki: in media maybe? in friends/family circles?
- Were your exceptions in general fulfilled or not?
- Would you have done something in a better/different way in hindsight?
- Is there anything where you say 'This should have been better during the testing phase (Incubator, Langcom)'?
- What was nice/easy/desirable on Incubator? :-)

- Hmm. This wiki will be mutually eligible with Adyghe Wikipedia, which will perform mass copying of pages from Kabardian Wikipedia before translating into Adyghe. I fulfill this wiki. --Adyghe (talk) 08:54, 18 Гъатхэпэм и 2012 (MSK)
- Активность и количество новых участников Вы можете увитеть на специальных страницах раздела, то что появился домен kbd это конечно очень хорошо для адыгского (кабардино-черкесского) языка, в разделе принимают участие так же носители и адыгейского (ady) языка, но, в информационном плане конечно же было бы лучше, если поддержка прошла на уровне региональных правительственных информационных каналов (телевидение, газеты и т.д.) так как сайты общественных адыгских организаций после открытия раздела дали достаточно информации о нас, но активных и постоянных участников в проект это к сожалению не добавило. Возможно (а скорее всего нужно) работу над популяризацией проекта необходимо начинать развивать не только в сети интернета. Богупс (talk) 12:00, 22 Гъатхэпэм и 2012 (MSK)
